friends comming to the rescue

I had some test run last month. My appointment to talk about the results was cancelled.
I made a new appointment, it too was cancelled.
than I had a bad night I went to work with high blood pressure thinking it would go down on the drive to work. My blood pressure was 162/122 for the whole night.( about 18 hours)
I called the doctor's office the answering service said they would deliver my message.
I wanted to know what to do. I felt bad. that was around 10pm. Finlay around 2am(5 in SC) I called Ruthie. She told me what to do. I soon felt safe to drive home. when I got home I went to bed. I forgot about the doctor until I went to work the next night. no one had ever called me back.
Come to find out my doctor had to have an emergency delivery of her 29week old baby.
Do not get me wrong. I feel bad for her. but I needed help and there was none.
when I finally seen the sub doctor he told me I should have called again in an hour. The message must have gotten miss places by the On call doctor. (sure it did)
To day I seen my doctor she said she never got a message. she was in the hospital. she would report the lack of response from the on call doctor to the office manager.
and she added a new blood pressure med to help prevent this from happening again. This doctor is not happy with my weight. Thought I have lost 35lb in the first 95 days as her patient. but then the weight loss has stopped. we have checked my thyroid-fine healthy, heart-fine healthy, arteries and vessels, fine healthy, I have high blood pressure, a hernia ( in the thought/stomach area), I need extra Iron and calcium. but no other reason for the extra weight. yes I have a family with weight issues, ...
I eat what I am told to eat, I only eat 1600-1800 calories a day. I walk 1/2 mile to 2 miles a every day. This doctors thinks there is a reason I have not lost more weight.
this is not a great thing. The weight is the cause of all my problems that need medication. It is hard to stay in a good frame of mind, when sticking to all the rules is not solving the problem.
