today i decided to drive our Monte Carlo to work.
I normally drive the better car(i work farther away from home)
So I get the work keys from the car and head to the Monte Carlo.
Only to discover the back plate is gone.

I call work to let them know i will be late.
I call 311 to find out what i need to do
after holding for a while i talk to somebody Craig.
who takes my information, gives me an Incident number, and directions to the DMV to get a new plate for the Monte Carlo.
I am talking with James and my phone beeps(not ring) voicemail
Craig called to tell me he put the information on the wrong form and i needed to go in person to a substation to fill out a lost or stolen plate report. than go to the DMV and pay to have the tag replaced.
I live in the center of four substations. none of them close. about 7-10 miles. so i choose one and James drives.
we go in and fill out the paperwork.
we are told to remove the front tag.( if a police person sees the tag they will stop the car at gun point)
ya i can see where that might cause a problem. James went out and removed the tag then and there.
there is not a paper tag or anything i can attach to the car to prevent some one from towing the car before i get the chance to hit the DMV. so i guess i will put the incident report on the dash. till i get a chance to go to the DMV Friday.
I tell you today sux.
had i not needed the keys from the car i would never have known the plate was missing. unless i got stopped for it.

Well just think of it as a day that is better then it could have been. Just think how your day would have been if you had been told by a cob when you were pulled over that your tag was gone. Then the day could have been so much worse.
Try to be positive. It could always be worse.
It will get better.
